Carleon Class

In Carleon Class, we have a mix of Reception, Year One (Year Two children in the afternoon), taught by Mrs Harman and assisted by Mrs Belfield and Mrs Hooper.
Our fantastic classroom allows us lots of space to learn and be creative.
We love to use our role play area and work together on our interactive smartboard.
We can often be found outside, taking part in active learning and making the most of our wonderful garden and our new outdoor learning space.
If your child is in Carleon Class, you can use your parent google classroom login to view the class page, with information and photographs of what the children are working on.
Jubilee Party
Carleon Class had a lovely afternoon to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and to finish off our DT and History topics. We made flags and crowns, sandwiches and fruit kebabs and had a tea party. We made invitations for our families to come and join us and to look at the work we have done.  Do take a look on our school website for some photos.

The children in Careon Class have been swimming during the Spring Term.  The children once again have been amazing, some are a little nervous but they are blowing all the adults away with their resilience.

We had the best time on Wednesday in St. Ives. The exciting train journey was definitely a hit, followed by a challenging treasure hunt using a map which took us through the tiny backstreets of St Ives and meant we avoided the worst of the summer crowds. We stopped at Porthgwidden Beach for a spot of lunch, a run around and play, before heading back along the harbour, past the lifeboat station and back on the train.

Technology has been hot on the agenda in Carleon Class; we have used it for research when finding out about the seven different continents (ask us what they are, we know them all). We have also been busy coding and are lucky enough to have a brand-new set of 'Beebots' which we are still trying to house train!

We have been learning about Jewish traditions and made 'Challah bread' as we learnt all about the traditional Shabbat meal. (Then got to taste it with jam!)

Carleon Class have been learning about different art and artists from around the world. We have just finished working on portraits inspired by Frida Kahlo from Mexico and are currently working on some African clay pots.
