Godrevy Class

Godrevy Class is taught by Mrs Hodges in the morning, assisted by Mrs Eddy and Mrs Hooper.  The class comprises children in Years 3 and 4.

If your child is in Godrevy Class, you can use your Google Classroom parent login to view the class page with information and photographs of what the children are working on.
We are currently learning about rocks and we learnt how to make the 3 different types of natural rock using chocolate.

During Great British Science week, Godrevy class are taking part in some of the activities. Today we were engineers, working in groups trying to make the tallest spaghetti tower using only spaghetti and marshmallows. The children enjoyed the challenge.

ROCKET INVESTIGATIONS IN GODREVY AND LEGGAN

Continuing on from science week last week, Godrevy and Leggan class continued with their rocket investigations which were started last Friday. Each class tested their predictions on what effect changing amount or type of water used within the rockets would have.

This was a great learning experience and all the children enjoyed watching their rockets being launched into the air. We would like to thank Mr Mitchell for being chief rocket launcher (and for getting wet - all in the name of science!)

SHAKESPEARE WEEK

Godrevy and Leggan class were fortunate to have members of the Minack Theatre come into school to help us celebrate Shakespeare week. We were able to engage with a variety of warm up games, and then in groups created our own mini versions of The Tempest, which we then performed to each other. We all had a wonderful time and wish to thank The Minack Theatre for providing this wonderful opportunity.
