St Keverne Primary School is located in the thriving village of St Keverne, on the Lizard peninsula. The two buildings which make up the school cover an extensive site, including a large sports field and hard play areas. There is also a large hall, reception area and school kitchen – school meals being cooked on the premises.
St Keverne is the largest village in the Helford area and somewhat unusual (for Cornwall) in that it is clustered around a central square. This attractive square contains a number of shops, 2 pubs, a handful of cottages and is overlooked by the church of St Akeveranus.
WELCOME TO ST KEVERNE SCHOOL - MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD
I am very proud to be the Executive Headteacher of St Keverne Primary and part of Southerly Point Cooperative Multi-Academy Trust. St Keverne has a very special school family which is integral to the St Keverne community. We embrace the Trust values of Self-help, Self-responsibility, Democracy, Equality, Equity, Solidarity, Openness, Honesty, Social Responsibility and Caring for Others.
Our highly talented teaching staff are ambitious for every child in their care and bring excellence and enjoyment together to the classroom. We know that children learn best when they are excited and engaged, so we have created a curriculum which does just that. The excellent teaching challenges the children and shows them what they can achieve. We place great emphasis on developing strong relationships with all our children, parents and carers, along with our local and wider community, to provide the best possible outcomes for our children. My door is always open to parents, carers, prospective parents and, of course, to our children. As a school we value all feedback and believe that the best way for our children to succeed is by everyone working together. If you would like to arrange a visit, please call or email our school secretary and I will be happy to welcome you to our school. In the meantime,
I hope that you enjoy looking at our website. Headteacher Lisa Newberry
